The Solar Rock Light from Smart Solar features a photocell sensor to automatically activate its warm white LED at nightfall. The Rock Light has an integrated solar panel at its top to collect sunlight during the day and charge the included Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. By making the Rock Light solar powered Smart Solar took the hassle out of setting it up and gave it versatility. There are no wires to worry about and you don’t have to set it up based upon where an available AC outlet is. Simply determine what area of your yard you would like to add light to at night and set the rock there; it’s that easy. Even better is that the faux rock exterior will help it blend seamlessly into the landscape of the yard making it unnoticeable and a welcome addition to the yards décor. Multiple Rock Lights along a pathway will help guide you and your guests or place it near a favorite daytime decoration to make it visible even at night. The Solar Rock Light is easy to move and it is important to remember that it requires sunlight to charge its Ni-MH batteries. If left in an area of the yard that does not get adequate daytime sunlight then the Solar Rock Light will provide little to no nighttime light. In an instance like this it is best to leave it in an area of the yard that gets the most amount of sun during the course of the day and move it at night as needed. Another charging option available is to remove the batteries and charge them via a traditional battery charger (sold separately) should you not wish to do so through the solar panel.
